Good Flying Airplane, but check the motor mount screws! Instructions are marginal, if your experienced you will be okay, if you are new to the hobby you will be lost - quickly. I purchased the PNP version, the motor came already installed and I did not check the mounting bolts on the engine, apparently they were not tightened at the factory, or they forgot to use some type of thread lock on them.
On the third flight the engine came loose and ejected from the airplane while in flight. Lucky for me I was very close to the landing area and was able to get the plane back to a soft spot. So only damage was to the cowling and the engine itself. MRC is working with me to replace the cowling & motor.
Other than that the airplane went together well, and flew fantastic for the first two flights. Hopefully it will be back in the air soon. I would still recommend this as your first bi-plane, just be sure to check the motor mounting bolts before you fly! Oops First flight battery hatch popped up right at lift-off and acted like a spoiler, planed stalled and bent the landing gear.
Hung on ceiling in basement for two years. Finally got around to straightening the landing gear, added two small magnets to the front of the hatch, and made it out to the field. Flight went well, Some trim issues to get it flying straight but then a joy to fly. Tracked well, loops and rolls were good. Looked great in the air. Kicking myself in the back side for waiting two years to get her back in the air. Will be a frequent flier now.
I purchased my first Waco I purchased my first Waco back on July 30th. I went together without any flaws. Everything lined up where it was supposed to. The hardware was complete and as opposed to other ARF's I've had worked fine. The plane looked and flew great, two click of up trim one of right aileron.
I couldn't ask for anything better and was a little confused as to why some of the reviews came up negative. Unfortunately then came the mid air.
The plane was not repairable and as soon as I got home ordered another one. The second one didn't assemble anything close to the experience I had with the first. Wings and tail group were wrapped. The motor attachment plate was not even glued in.

Total bummer. Repairing the warps was not to my satisfaction as I like good looking airplanes and although somewhat correctable, being very careful with heat, the surface finish disappeared showing the beaded foam understructure.
Although not as good looking I went to the field and gave it a try. Everything was trimmed out to neutral and balance point set per instructions but I was in for a wild ride. The plane dove violently. Having the plane drop low I didn't have enough elevator to get it back to level when turning to climb before it hit the ground. I've since pieced it back together and and for the second try had someone next to me working the trims as insurance. The plane flew but not without fill up trim on the elevator resulting in about 1/8' up elevator from level to the stab.

I would have dumped it again if I didn't have the guy next to me. I need to mention that Motion RC was great, I have no complaints what so ever with their service. On the first Waco the ESC burned out. Notice the ESC is totally encased in foam with no way to get some airflow over it as the plastic. engine is flush to the ESC cavity. Some of the reviews mention this fact but not having read them at the time didn't take it into consideration as electrics are new to me.
You need to cut some of the plastic. engine and foam behind it to remedy the problem. After calling Motion they offered to send me a replacement but I opted for a credit to put in a better unit which they issued within a day. Great service and response. Can't say anything negative about Motion. My only recommendation is that if the ARF does not assemble easily have someone next to you handling the trims.
One you get it fling straight it flys well but I don't like the fact that the elevator is not flush to the stab, it's just not right but that's just me.
